Most healthcare companies are counted among the 41% of American industries who use extensive encryption. The most important sites of encryption continue to be the most conventional: laptop harddrives and internet connections.

Now that such encryption is becoming truly ubiquitous in healthcare, one of the greatest challenges is to ensure that the defenses don't slow down the daily operations of these healthcare businesses.
