Recipe: Simple Refreshing Smoothie Bowl
As temperatures continue to rise, nothing is better than enjoying a refreshing smoothie bowl. Popsicles available at the grocery store are often high in sugar, full of additives, and contain little to no nutritional value. Instead of cooling off with a store bought popsicle, opt for a simple, nutritious smoothie bowl!
- 1 cup of kale
- 1 cup of spinach
- ¾ cup unsweetened vanilla (or plain) almond milk
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- Add greens and almond milk together and blend
- Add the remainder of the ingredients and blend again. If you would like the smoothie to be a thinner consistency, add filtered water to your desired amount.
- Pour into a bowl and top with chia seeds!
