Recipe: Simple Refreshing Smoothie Bowl

As temperatures continue to rise, nothing is better than enjoying a refreshing smoothie bowl. Popsicles available at the grocery store are often high in sugar, full of additives, and contain little to no nutritional value. Instead of cooling off with a store bought popsicle, opt for a simple, nutritious smoothie bowl!

  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • ¾ cup unsweetened vanilla (or plain) almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango

  1. Add greens and almond milk together and blend
  2. Add the remainder of the ingredients and blend again. If you would like the smoothie to be a thinner consistency, add filtered water to your desired amount.
  3. Pour into a bowl and top with chia seeds!
