City of Boynton Beach Taking Aim at Offsetting Employee Healthcare Costs with On-Site Clinic
Boynton Beach, FL – The City of Boynton Beach is joining the efforts of neighboring municipalities such as Tampa, Cocoa and Tarpon Springs and has opened a health clinic for its employees. The clinic will help offset costs employees have as part of their high deductible insurance plan, and will help the city save on healthcare costs.
Commissioners approved partnering with Oklahoma-based CareATC to operate the on-site clinic that services nearly 800 employees and their dependents and retired workers covered under the insurance plan. The center is staffed by one physician, one part-time nurse practitioner and two part-time medical assistants and offers primary, acute and urgent care services, immunizations, injections, new-hire physicals, fitness-for-duty physicals, drug testing, and dispenses generic medications.
CareATC also operates city health centers in Tampa, Cocoa, Olsmar and Tarpon Springs. With the addition of Boynton Beach, CareATC aims to continue expanding services to local governments in Florida. As healthcare costs continue to rise, onsite and near-site clinics have become a popular option for public entities such as cities, counties, states, municipal school boards, fire and police departments.

The Boynton Beach clinic will be managed from the CareATC Florida headquarters located in Tampa, FL and is located in the utilities building at Woolbright Road and Seacrest Boulevard and services Boynton Beach employees and eligible spouses and dependents.
