Tulsa, OK – Melton Truck Lines is one of the nation's leading flatbed trucking companies with a large and growing fleet offering full North American coverage. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Melton is committed to advancing driver success, providing the tools and support for employees and their families for physical and financial wellness. The latest resource being made available is a network of on-site and near-site employer-sponsored primary care clinics.

Melton has partnered with CareATC, a leading employee population health management provider, to open an on-site primary care clinic and provide employees and their families will have access to a national network of of shared employer health centers.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Survey, over two-thirds of long-haul truck drivers were obese (69%) and 17% were morbidly obese. Obesity increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, heart disease, cancer, joint and back pain, and stroke. Severe health conditions can disqualify a driver from receiving or renewing their commercial driver’s license - essentially placing their livelihood in jeopardy.

“Access to a national network of primary care centers and generic medications at no cost to health plan participants empowers drivers to address and prevent chronic disease. By eliminating the most common barriers to primary care, we can best support driver wellness – no matter where they are on the road,” says Philip Kurtz, CareATC Chief Executive Officer.
