April Blog 2In the latest episode of the Ridge Runners Podcast, Dr. Julie Downey, CareATC Zone Vice President – Medical, and Kyle Larson, Chief of Staff & Head of Product, sit down with Michele Clark, GE Appliances’ Primary Care and Clinical Programs Manager, to discuss their powerful partnership and the strides they’ve made in improving employee health and well-being.

With 20 years of experience in corporate well-being, Michele brings invaluable expertise to GE Appliances’ health and well-being initiatives. Her approach to selecting employee benefits is methodical and results-driven, focusing on three key areas: healthcare delivery, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

"We focus on the value-based care model – putting our employees first with the right place at the right time with the right provider," Michele explains. "We know it's going to help with a better experience for our employees but also provide better access."

CareATC and GE work together to drive patient engagement through tailored communication strategies for 8,400 production and 2,000 salaried employees. From text messages and at-home mailers to direct engagement on the shop floor, every touchpoint is designed to maximize employee participation.

The results speak for themselves. In just two years of partnership with CareATC, GE has achieved remarkable outcomes. "Working with CareATC, we've seen over $3 million cost savings in just 2 years…it's just incredible what we've been able to do together in a short amount of time."

This success has fueled expansion plans. GE is adding two more CareATC clinics to further improve employee access to healthcare services. “Because of the outcomes, we are now expanding. We’re only continuing to grow with you all,” Michele says.

This partnership exemplifies how a shared vision, strong accountability, and high-quality care can create a healthcare experience that truly empowers employees to be well. To hear more from Michele and discover the exciting initiatives at GE, listen to the full podcast on YouTube!
