The 21st century has forced most industries to be more employee-focused as a method of keeping great talent on board. As HR proceeds into the future, it's likely that employee-focus will only become more important.
Some prognosticators anticipate that daily roles of the Chief Human Resources Officer will start to be spread around to the general HR body to meet the changing demands of the workplace. Forbes identifies several new or "new-ish" job titles for the 21st century HR department:
- Manager of Employee Engagement
- Director of Learning
- Diversity Officer
- Mindset Coach
- Talent & Repertoire Manager
Many of these roles are already emerging, and even if you haven't hired for these positions by name, you'll recognize that these are jobs which need doing in modern HR.
