Employers tend to put a lot of attention and money into their healthcare programs, in an attempt to keep their employees happy and healthy, but there are a whole host of modestly priced benefits which may offer a lot of satisfaction to workers of all sorts.
Many of the ones listed in the linked article have to do with offering convenience to segments of everyday life. Examples include:
- Negotiating deals with local merchants (gyms, movie theaters, restaurants, big box retailers, anything that offers employees value)
- Paying for free pick-up and delivery by a local dry cleaner for workers' clothes
- Providing interest-free computer loans to all employees
- Letting employees buy excess inventory at steep discounts
The list goes on, but each example is an opportunity to provide little perks that make people glad to come to work.
