New MassMutual Study Finds Employee Benefits' Preferences Vary by Generation and Gender | Wendy White | HR Insights blog by CareATC, Inc.For HR teams crafting employer benefits options, it's important to understand that different generations of employees tend to have much different preferences.

In a study by MassMutual, Millennials and Baby Boomers were found to value one benefit above all: vacation time.

Generation X workers, however, far preferred high standards of retirement benefits.

Benefits preference was found between men and women, but was much less pronounced than differences among the generations.

The takeaway from the data gathered seems to be that a broad menu or possible benefits will work best for a diverse workforce.
