Meditation, the practice of Mindfulness, learning to be "in the moment," whatever you call it – this practice has been shown to work wonders for indivudals, especially in terms of stress, attention, and mental stability.
But do these benefits rub off on businesses when practiced by staff or management? Studies are starting to demonstrate just how much mindfulness has to offer the corporate world.
Mindful employees make better teammates, demonstrate better leadership, are more effective communicators, negotiate more successfully, and improve the "emotional environment" all around them. Mindfulness training isn't the most common workplace benefit.
Looked at by some as impractical or even new-agey, science consistently affirms it as a good way of managing the stresses of life, enabling the practitioner to be more effective at just about everything they do.
